Framework: Design Web
Tools: capsule wardrobe, mind mapping, MoSCoW, Pinterest
A permaculture design about the ultimate wardrobe (natural materials, easy to mend or decompose) and how to dress myself better with just a few good pieces. The capsule wardrobe idea of 6 pieces to make 30 outfits is improving connections between the elements and stacking functions. The least change for the greatest effect.
This design brought peace between me and my clothes.

I wrote a short article about this design for Mud and Culture magazine. This article is a light summary of the design. Click for article.
Framework: Design Web
Tools: Design Tree, PMI, 8 forms of capital, zoning, vision boards, poetry, mind maps, Pinterest
Design for a lovely, lively village in the heart of Croatia where people can live a simple and joyful life. A welcoming place where people and nature are respected and included.
A regenerative, responsible and self reliant life on the land, working together in harmony with nature and like-minded/like-hearted people. For us it is the way to live a good life for future generations to come.
This design clarifies our vision ideas and gives texts and directions to help us grow a community with a regenerative culture.
It is a start of a work in progress; there is a lot more detailing and communicating to do.
Framework: Design Web
Tools: SMART goals, learning styles, accelerated learning, pattern disruption, creativity
A personal permaculture design about learning styles and creative solutions to read, write and speak better Croatian.

Framework: SADIMET
Tools: mapping, sector anaysis, zoning, input-output analysis, PMI
Design about how to keep our chickens healthy & happy and grow a garden with food and herbs and keep them economically viable.
Framework: Design Web
Tools used: Kickstarter, Cultural Emergence card deck, Canva, social media, 7 Ways to think differently, zoning, brainstorming, ritual & ceremony and many others.
Cooperative design by Looby Macnamara, Delvin Solkinson and Barbara Scheltus
A co-creation with Looby Macnamara and Delvin Solkinson. This is the story of our cooperative design journey for crowdfunding the Cultural Emergence toolkit in the shape of a card deck through Kickstarter. The crowdfunding journey started 25 January and ended April 6th 2023.
This design for kickstarting the card deck is part of Looby Macnamara’s Cultural Emergence going global design, and it is a design with more designs in it:
Core team design
Card deck design
Kickstarter project design
Framework: EGADIME
Tools: Design Web, holistic management, SWOT analysis, TOAST, maps, zoning
This design is about planting a source of proteins, high quality wood and income in the future, while keeping the pseudo-acacia's out. Why did we choose nuts, what planting pattern creates abundance and how do we maintain this nut orchard.
Framework: Design Web
Tools: quick designing, mind mapping, VISA, 6 Thinking hats
To make the garden more effective as a workspace, the garden can speak to its visitors. Signs, symbols and educational materials strategically placed near specific plants or areas to give information on proper care. This direct communication might give a deeper understanding of the garden as an ecosystem and it can encourage visitors to align their actions with permaculture values.

Framework: GOBRADIME
Tools: Design Web, 7 Ways to Think Differently, 80-20 principle, mind mapping
This is a design to create a more sustainable and resilient life for my family by growing our self-sufficiency. We don't want to outsource our basic needs.
In this design I explore what we already do and know, where and how we can grow and in which aspects not (yet), or what we would need help with to grow our self-reliance.
In nature nothing is fully independent and it is also not our aim to be. We just do want to not depend on unhealthy systems that pollute our health and the planet's health.
This design gives an overview of where we are and what we need, in which directions we can grow.
Framework: GoSADIM
Tools: SWOC, SHMARTER, various charts
How to live in harmony with nature on the lands of Bogata Šuma for the coming 7 generations? How to make clear and sustainable decisions and be good ancestors? This design gives us practical tools to make sustainable choices.

Framework: Design Web. Tools: ALP, SMART goals, permaculture flower, facilitator check-in plan, mind mapping, moon cycle
A conversation with myself about how to grow into an experienced designer and a resourceful permaculture teacher and facilitator. This design was the first one I wrote up when I started my Diploma journey and it kept me company in these 2 years. It showed me obvious and unexpected ways to grow and it made me treasure mentors on my path.

After the Diploma I didn't stop designing, of course.
I love to make quick designs for everything that needs a bit of thinking (like my week, a morning routine, how to bring more music into life), and of course I make designs for projects like teaching a course, winter time, summer time, an underground bedroom, or a natural grey water cleaning swim pond on our terrain.

Thank you for giving me your time and attention!
I hope that you got something (joy? Inspiration?) in return.
